Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera
Superleggera means 'super
lightweight'. It uses a bonded, riveted and welded aluminium structure, similar
to that of its Ferrari F430
rival, so it achieves lightness by a different route. By reducing the weight of
the components hung on this structure, (relative) super-lightness results. With the Gallardo Superleggera, Lamborghini presents
an uncompromisingly high-performance sports car. Thanks to 10 additional horsepower and a 154 lbs weight
reduction, the new range-leading Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera offers even
more excitement and driving pleasure. The Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera is
an extremely high-performance car: it includes a standard robotized mechanical
‘e-gear’ gearbox that guarantees shifting without removing hands from the
steering wheel.
The most prominent use of
composites is a new, feather-light rear decklid with a window made of
transparent polycarbonate; the view of the engine is maintained. Carbon fiber
also is used on such other items as the rearview mirrors, door panels, rear
diffuser, and transmission tunnel.

Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution
Mitsubishi Motors is introducing the 2008 Lancer Evolution,
the newest and most sophisticated version of the legendary high-performance
model series that began 16 years ago. While remaining true to the core values
that have made the Lancer Evolution synonymous with thrilling performance, the
next-generation model offers all-around capability and user technology that
distinguish the world's best performance models.
The new, 2008 Lancer Evolution is some vehicle. The front end of the Evo really looks like a
shark, a very mean and nasty shark that’s going to eat your car whenever it has
the opportunity.

BMW X6
A few years ago, the idea of building a 4x4 that thinks it’s
a coupé would scarcely have been believed – but BMW has done exactly that with
its stunning new X6. According to the German marque, the four-door,
four-wheel-drive vehicle will redefine the off-roader as we know it when it
goes on sale here next summer. The BMW X6 is a mid-size luxury crossover SUV
released for sale in the second quarter of 2008 by German automaker BMW. The X6
combines the attributes of an SUV (high ground clearance, all wheel drive and
all-weather ability, large wheels and tires) with the stance of a coupé (bold
head-turning style, dramatic sloping roof).
